Abstract
Explicit formulas are given for sets of p elements forming a self-complementary normal basis of GF(q p) over GF(q ), where p is the characteristic of GF(q ). Using these formulas, a straightforward construction of self-complementary bases for GF(q α) (where α=p m) over GF(q ) is also presented
