Abstract
A massive undertaking is in progress in the health-care industry as doctors offices and hospitals across the country are beginning to make the transition to health information technology (IT). Some users of electronic health records (EHRs) see benefits while others don´t, but either way, the health industry and the U.S. government view IT as necessary and important.
