  • Abstract
In the 1960s and 1970s the design of microwave circuits containing nonlinear elements often consisted of trial and error routines. The circuit performance required was then achieved approximately. Improving physical characterization of materials at microwave frequencies and its influence on active devices used in microwave networks, it was possible to reduce the time being required to develop new nonlinear circuits. During the ideas of this contribution, some important stations of microwave design is show as a reflection of the international workshop on “Integrated Nonlinear Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Circuits (INMMiC)”.
