  • Abstract
    A long period grating is presented, the resonant peak of which is not sensitive to the interface between the cladding and the surrounding media of a fibre. The spectral behaviour of the resonant peak is investigated using index matching oils and mechanical scratching on the cladding surface of the fibre.
