Field tests on circuit breakers

Tests show conclusively that the new highspeed oil-blast circuit breaker will clear the most severe faults within eight cycles or less, and from a system operating standpoint this type of breaker is reported as being definitely superior to other types. A careful analysis of the results shows further cause for the adoption of the multi-duty cycle.
