The distortion produced when frequency-modulated signals pass through certain networks

Frequency-modulated signals are distorted when passed through selective networks, but theoretical attempts to predict the distortion have not been completely successful. The paper presents the results of an experimental investigation carried out to provide accurate measurements of the distortion, against which theoretical predictions can be checked. The networks studied were the parallel resonant circuit and the double-tuned transformer.
