Sixtieth anniversary of the communications society [The President´s Page]

It is a privilege to serve as the President of the IEEE Communications Society for the years 2012 and 2013. In 2012 ComSoc celebrates its 60th anniversary. Several special events are planned to commemorate and celebrate ComSoc at 60. But before I go any further, on behalf of all of us I would like to thank our Past President Byeong Gi Lee for his outstanding and dedicated service to ComSoc during 2010 and 2011. The Society, the IEEE and the profession were extraordinarily well served by our first President from the Asia Pacific Region.
