  • Abstract
    Nonzero earth resistivity leads to line parameters which vary continuously with frequency. Some effects of this variation on transient waveforms are examined. The interaction of the source impedance with the frequency-dependent line impedance is shown to have an effect on the length of line at which the resonant frequency approaches that of the supply. A possible single-phase representation of a 3-phase system is explored.
