  • Abstract
    This paper presents the result of non-linear adaptive filters applied as pre- and post-processing of DCT coded images. The pre-processing is applied to enhance the coding efficiency removing noise information. The main goal of the post-processing phase is to reduce the blocking and ringing both due to the quantisation of the DCT coefficients
