  • Abstract
Based upon recent trends, computational science is making major strides in Canada, both in its practice as a scientific discipline and as a growing field of scientific education. Several Canadian institutions now offer degree programs, generally at the master´s level, in CSE or related areas, and similar programs are under consideration at other schools throughout the nation. The article provides a short background description of CSE (computer science education) in Canada and examines one particularly innovative educational initiative there. In addition, it profiles several other Canadian programs in CSE or related disciplines
