Abstract
Based on the 6S code, an improved model of the surface BRDF-atmospheric coupled radiation is proposed, in which the key point is an upward flux correction. As shown in comparative numerical simulations, this model generally has a better accuracy than some exiting models. In the condition of the solar zenith angle θs⩽75° and the viewing angle θv ⩽60°, the error by the present model is usually smaller than 2.5%
