Abstract
Electric field behavior is determined on perfect metallic wedges of bidimensional, conical, and three-dimensional shape. The analytical treatment is based on solving Laplace´s equation in spherical and conical coordinate systems. For both cases, the components of the electric field behave like r α, presenting a singularity when α<0. A quasi-analytic procedure is used to determine α based on the theory of Legendre and Lame´s functions. This allows an accuracy of about seven decimal places that is easy to increase if necessary
