Abstract
Converting web-assisted courses (WACs) to Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) becomes popular currently. However, knowledge for MOOCs requires a stronger schedule and organization. Moreover, the diverse structure of knowledge in various platforms is a management problem. To solve these problems, this paper devised an enhanced structure of web-assisted instruction (WAI) system that contains an intermediate subsystem between WAC platform and potential MOOC platform. Based on knowledge dimension model, the intermediate system called curricular knowledge management subsystem (CKMS) provides a knowledge management environment for teachers to easily transfer courses from WACs to MOOCs.
