Abstract
By means of applied electronic methods, a range of low frequency potential variations, originating from the human body, and by inference producing a varying field, can be demonstrated and analysed over a range of frequencies from 10 c/s to 2,500 c/s. A wide field of investigation is opened up for studying the source and character of these variations. Preliminary observations suggest that the information obtained is likely to lead to applied methods of clinical value in the study both of cases of myocardial deficiency and of neuro-muscular disorders. The methods of wave analysis appear to indicate that parts of the frequency range thus demonstrated are probably related to the muscular contracture of the heart and thus provide information not made available by present electrocardiographs technique.
