Abstract
We employ a genetic algorithm to design multi-layer all-dielectric nanostructures with optimally reduced scattering cross-section. Using isotropic, homogeneous and nonmagnetic materials described by experimental data, our approach allows near 80 fold suppression of scattering cross section in optical wavelengths. We cover several dielectric cylindrical scatterers and demonstrate that after limited number of coating layers, adding more coatings does not result in improving the cloaking.
