  • Abstract
    The traditional split-step algorithm for calculating the signal transmission through optical fibres is significantly accelerated without loss of accuracy. Speed-up factors of up to 10 are achieved by switching back and forth between time and frequency domain calculations combined with an innovation step-size allocation method
