Abstract
Systems combining turbo codes with decision directed feedback synchronisers have been suggested as a way to improve tracking performance of the receiver at low Es/No. In this work the operation of such schemes for the Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) standard is investigated and the limitations that bound their performance are analysed. It is shown that these systems are possible with restrictions imposed on the interleaver size of the turbo code system
