The general purpose analogue computer in bio-medical research

The use of the general purpose analogue computer in bio-medical research is examined and illustrated by examples from its past history. Its present-day role is considered in the light of increasing digital facilities and an example is given of current methods of use at the National Institute for Medical Research.
