Abstract
A novel circularly polarized (CP) antenna with 1357-1997 MHz impedance bandwidth, 8 dB high gain, 3-dB axial-ratio bandwidth (ARBW) of 12.9% and ±45° half-power beamwidth (HPBW) is proposed. Compared to other reported Inmarsat antennas, the proposed antenna possesses much higher gain and larger CP bandwidth and is more suitable for high-latitude satellite communication systems.
