Abstract
The use of the field effect transistor in the below pinch-off mode as a variable resistor permits a wide range of phase shifting networks, filters and variable frequency oscillators to be constructed. The technique is fully compatible with integrated circuit technology and the properties of the circuits so produced are only moderately temperature-dependent.
