Don´t let the title of Monique Frize´s new book, The Bold and the Brave: A History of Women in Science and Engineering, confuse you: the book looks forward into women´s futures as much as it looks back. While the book spans 2,000 years of philosophers and thinkers with differing views on women´s abilities and rights to education, “I wanted people to know that it´s not a question of period or time,” says the author. “People don´t think that women´s inequality continues to be an issue and I wanted to demonstrate that it is still going on.”
