  • Abstract
    This letter presents the design of a single-feed dual-band microstrip antenna for global positioning satellite (GPS) operations at 1227 MHz (L2) and 1575 (L1) MHz using low-temperature cofired ceramic (LTCC) technology. Details of the GPS antenna design and simulated and experimental results are presented and discussed. The measured results confirm the validity of this design, which can meet the requirement of GPS application at L1 and L2 bands. Furthermore, the proposed structure can be deployed in a space-limited environment and multi-dielectric-layer antenna applications.
