Abstract
In this paper, an experiment is presented to study a possible power handling enhancement of magnetostatic forward volume wave straight edge resonators. Theoretically, the power range for a linear response of the resonator is expected to be increased by inclining the sample with respect to the dc magnetic bias field direction, and a critical angle can be predicted for suppressing non-linear effects. Actually, it is demonstrated that a compromise has to be reached between the increase in the power handling and the observed decrease in the resonator quality factor
