Abstract
We experimentally test the theoretical results obtained by the method called globally periodic signal analysis. The method shows a reduction of spectral lines of the average amplitude spectrum and a power dissipation of a square waveform signal with randomly perturbed time transitions. The reduction factor is the Fourier transform of the distribution function of the random perturbations affecting the signal time transitions. The experimental results are in agreement with the theoretical predictions. The method shows the possibility to characterize the perturbation and proves useful in measurement (e.g., metrology) and signal processing problems
