  • Abstract
As you prepare to enter the engineering profession, you can take advantage of unexpected opportunities and enjoy an incredible journey by managing your career. This is accomplished by applying engineering tools to develop and use a dynamic career plan. Your career starts when you enter your freshman year at an engineering college or sometimes even before. Early career decisions include selecting a specific type of engineering and then choosing elective courses that will complement your area of interest. Your educational experience will be maximized by starting your career plan now. To establish a successful career plan, each part of the planning process should relate to the overall objectives of your personal life. It starts with the development of your personal and professional visions and, includes a strategy of goals and skill needs, an action plan, implementation of the action plan, and documentation and evaluation of results.
