  • Abstract
    A novel approach for image contrast enhancement is presented. A contrast measure which accounts for spatial structure information as derived within the context of a nonlinear multiscale representation generated by anisotropic diffusion is introduced. A local contrast map is computed, which is then used to enhance the original image
