  • Abstract
The long-historied feedforward technology was applied to an HFC network and, let´s say, this FFCC(Fiber Feedforward Coaxial Cascade) HFC network acquired significant performance improvement of 3.4 dB in CNR, 4 dB in CSO and 10 dB in CTB respectively. The improvement of 3.4 dB in CNR permits more than doubling of the number of coaxial cascade i.e., 7 stages which result in the extension of coaxial path approximately 3 km in distance, with the existing same configuration. Thus, FFCC-HFC network would be very useful in upgrading or improving conventional HFC networks with minimum modification, either in the occasions of extending the network distance coverage, increasing the number of subscribers connected to the system, or expanding the frequency bandwidth for more transmission channels or emerging services.
