  • Abstract
In this letter, the nonlinear plasmonic directional coupler (PDC) with 90ž waveguide bends based on Kerr nonlinear effect has been analyzed numerically by the finite-difference time-domain method. It has been shown that by utilizing the cross-phase modulation nonlinear effect, the required switching pump and signal power of the PDC is much lower than the signal power of the one with self-phase modulation effect.
