  • Abstract
The author described a program, which provides a framework and a simple set of generic equations that may be used to simulate the in-flight characteristics of a conventional aircraft. Secondarily, the model will have realistic behavior when compared to existing aircraft. The implementation is explained by describing the major areas that constitute the model. These areas are: constants, aircraft parameters, variables, model equations, time history calculations, control input, and graphical presentation. The simulation will run, in real-time, on an IBM PC/AT class of computer. The model framework is sufficiently robust to allow the accuracy and completeness of the simulation to be modified and extended.<>
