  • Abstract
Equilibrium magnetization patterns in network nanostructures composed of many-armed junctions are obtained by means of numerical simulation. It is shown that different magnetization patterns can be characterized by a total magnetic charge accumulated near the junction, in general, an N-armed junction may have 2N magnetic configurations, most of them being equivalent each other. The reduced magnetic charge of an N-armed junction may have the following values: N, (N-2),…,-N. For a square network for example, there are only 4 different configurations with total reduced magnetic charge equal to 0, ±2, or ±4. This property opens a new possibility for high density information storage
