Abstract
We employed terahertz spectroscopy to observe the penetration of salt solution into collagen fibers. Absorbance spectra were taken over 100-450 cm-1 for dried collagen fibers sheets that had soaked in the solution. Changes at 166 cm-1 indicated the presence of salt crystals, which depended on the condition of the collagen.
