Abstract
The design of high-speed recording heads requires one to consider the effect of eddy currents on performance. Experiments have shown that even for very thin laminations, there is an appreciable eddy current effect for high recording frequencies. A technique is suggested for including these effects in a micromagnetic calculation. This technique has been implemented in a finite difference calculation and some results are presented. The structure of the computational algorithm is considerably different from conventional eddy current calculations
