Nasa´s dual challenge: Serving yet striving

With 25 years of leadership in space behind it, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration is at a crossroads as it faces the next quarter century. Organizations such as NASA are means to accomplish the ends of those who create and sustain them. Fundamentally, it is impossible to discern NASA´s future evolution without knowing what path in space the United States will choose from among the many options available; the outlook for NASA depends on the goals selected by the Government for the next quarter century´s space efforts.
