Abstract
This paper deals with the development of a new model for the cooling process on the runout table of hot strip mills. The suitability of different numerical methods (finite difference method, orthogonal collocation method, and integral profile method) for the solution of the proposed model equation from the point of view of accuracy and computation time are studied. Parallel solutions for the model equation are proposed
