Abstract
It is shown that a ferrite-loaded coaxial line may be used to obtain power gains for pulse voltages by matching the saturated line and load impedances. Power gains in the range 1-3 appear reasonable and are significant for applications requiring pulsed voltages in the 1-100 kV range. The power gain effect complements the established pulse sharpening phenomena exploited in ferrite-loaded coaxial lines
