  • Abstract
    An adaptive contrast enhancement technique for improving particle image velocimetry (PIV) images with a dense background and poor contrast is presented. This enhancement is based on a dynamic transformation function that deals with all PIV images. This technique can also be extended to any application images that produce a typical histogram configuration
