Abstract
We describe a single-mirror interferometer based on the spatial separation of the two optical arms by combining a doubly refracting element and a common mirror for the two interferometric arms. The scheme significantly reduces the noise level and detects CW laser-induced refractive index changes with high accuracy. An imaging system simplifies the theoretical processing of experimental data
