Abstract
In this paper, compact UWB dual polarized antenna with improved cross-polarization level is proposed. This antenna is fed by two tapered CPW lines in orthogonal manner to achieve the dual polarization operation. In order to enhance the polarization purity and the isolation level between the antenna´s ports, new technique is used. The detailed design as well as the analysis of the obtained results are presented and discussed. This analysis reveals that the proposed antenna is matched over the entire UWB band with isolation level between its ports of -20dB and cross polarization level of -25dB. With these features, the proposed antenna is an optimized candidate for UWB with diversity applications.
