Abstract
Entropy, alpha, and anisotropy (H/α/A) parameters of the polarimetric target decomposition have shown their capacity for polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image analysis. However, due to insufficient averaging, these parameters are biased. The literature shows that the anisotropy bias removal is not resolved. Based on simulation results, we present a simple technique for the removal of the anisotropy bias. The proposed technique showed its efficiency to correct the anisotropy using real and simulated data.
