  • Abstract
    Very-high-speed simultaneous digital sine and cosine functions have a large number of applications in digital systems. The so-called CORDIC (COordinate Rotation DIgital Computer) algorithms are an efficient method of producing a variety of trigonometric, hyperbolic, and linear functions. A description is given of the architecture and CMOS implementation of a fast digital trigonometric function generator that uses the CORDIC algorithms to produce simultaneous sine and cosine functions at a 40-MHz sampling rate
