  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. Ferrite cores for use in the inductive chargers of electric vehicles (EV) and auto-guided carrier systems have been developed in recent years. These cores are made of MnZn ferrite in most cases and require grinding work to give satisfactory shapes and dimensions. The large amount of ground sludge is being disposed in landfill sites. However, the need is growing to reduce the amount of scrapped ferrite powder as much as possible from the environmental perspective. The FDK Corporation is accordingly endeavoring to expand the recycling of scrapped ferrite powder. In the present study, we examined the effects of a new composite material on scrapped MnZn ferrite powder and non-magnetic powder.
