Abstract
Summary form only given. In the USB and/or IEEE 1394 balanced signal interfaces, to suppress the unbalanced signal component (common-mode noise), the common-mode filter should be used. In this study, to develop the common-mode filter for the USB ver.2 with the data transfer rate of 480 Mbps, a Mn-Zn ferrite particle/polyimide composite thick film was fabricated. Since the composite film was expected to behave as the magnetic/dielectric hybrid material, the coupled transmission-line common-mode filter was developed by using the composite film.
