Abstract
A machining center numerical controller architecture has been defined which answers the needs of small production units, dedicated to the machining and inspection of complex parts. This means tight links between CAM workstations and machining stations. In order to enhance the context oriented capabilities of existing prototypes, an improved specification inspired from the object modeling technique methodology is presented, with particular emphases on the structuring of data and the man-machine interaction related operating modes
