Abstract
Summary form only given. The paper describes the synthesis of M/sub x/Fe/sub 3-x/O/sub 4/ (M=Cu, Zn, Fe, Ni, Co, W and Mg) or M/sub x/Zn/sub /spl sim/0.3/Fe/sub /spl sim/2.7-x/O/sub 4/ ultra fine particles from an aqueous solution at room temperature, utilizing Fe/sup 2+//spl rarr/Fe/sup 3+/ oxidation by air (oxygen). The synthesis was performed in open air, and near-neutral conditions of pH=7-9.
