Abstract
We will propose and analyze a call admission algorithm, which gives priority to a new call according to the total resource requirements of the new call. The total resource requirements are decided by propagation environment; the propagation environment of the new call can be detected by the pilot signal in the CDMA systems. If there are efficient residual resources in the systems, it will accept all new calls. Otherwise, it will selectively accept these calls according to the total resource requirements. Thus, this scheme uses priority in accepting the new call, which has a lower total resource requirements or a better propagation environment than other new calls.
