Abstract
A curriculum map, as well as a roadmap, could be used as a tool for a learning tour, i.e., guiding learners who are ¿going from one course to another toward a particular learning target¿. In this research, the curriculum map is composed of curriculums and links, in which each curriculum is treated as a node (like cities on a roadmap), and the links among the nodes are generated by ¿competence keywords mapping¿. The competence keywords are segmented by the efforts of ¿competence description in Chinese¿. These efforts are achieved from the competence requirements of curricula, jobs, certifications, and education purposes. In addition, via the proposed curriculum information system (CIS), the competence mapping results can be visualized as a map to guide a learner who is undergoing learning navigation among the recommended curricula.
