  • Abstract
Summary form only given. Novel bulk amorphous RE-Fe-Al (RE=Nd, Pr) ferromagnetic materials with hard magnetic properties were reported recently. The interest of these materials is based on their capability for exhibiting hard magnetic properties (with coercivity values H/sub c/, within an intermediate range of 270-300 kA/m) together with an amorphous structure. The present study reports the effect of alloying additions and the processing conditions on the magnetic properties and microstructure of RE/sub 60/Fe/sub 30-x/Al/sub 10/T/sub x/ (x=0-5, RE=Nd-Pr, T=B, Cu, Zr) alloys.
