  • Abstract
    A system which can detect gas leaks, generation of carbon monoxide gas, and fires was constructed using a combustible gas sensor, a pair of carbon monoxide gas sensors, and temperature and humidity sensors. Simulations of the three disasters were carried out in a chamber of 44550 cm/sup 3/ and the signals from the sensors are monitored. It is shown that the reliability of this system has been improved by using four sensors. The system adopts fuzzy reasoning with simple membership functions, and it can estimate the grades of each disaster.<>
