Abstract
Renewable energies such as solar systems are available at no cost and generate electricity without polluting our environment. However, it has been proved that the power quality problems of current photovoltaic (PV) stations cause pollution to the power grid. To control and analyze such pollution, this paper introduces a large-scale urban power quality monitoring system. By applying this novel approach, the paper presents long-term measured data and statistical analysis of power quality status of a large-scale PV station in Shanghai.
