Abstract
The author discusses the control of an induction motor. The proposed approach is based on decoupling the stator current vector into both colinear and orthogonal components to the rotor flux vector. These components are the scalar and vector products of some parameters and rotor flux vector. The control problem where new parameters are control inputs is considered. The problems of designing the torque, speed and rotor position controllers are investigated.
